Md. Idris Ali, a 45-year-old farmer, from Ishorganj, was affected by cancer in the Larynx (voice box). It had progressed to the advanced stage by the time he came in. Himself and his relatives were very afraid of surgery. It was their strong belief that he would not survive after the procedure. We were able to operate on him and now, fortunately, he is free of cancer for one and a half years. With the help of a speaking valve, which was fit in his neck, he is able to speak. With his new health, he can work in his agricultural and rice business, and, most importantly, take care of his family. One operation can truly save a life and a family, and re-establish them into society.
